For his 2012 Autumn/Winter collection, celebrity favourite Erdem Moralioglu was keen on having his models appear as an "army of robotic girls walking down the runway." This led to makeup director Andrew Gallimore (MAC) creating a "futuristic and androgynous" look with triangle eyeliner. Meanwhile Mark Trinder (Charles Worthington) was inspired by Peggy Guggenheim's 1950s style when it came to hair. Check out that and the custom nail polish.

Adele was hands-down our fave at last year's Brit Awards - and not just because she made us cry with her heartwrenching rendition of "Someone Like You". Those peepers were polished to perfection so we wondered if she'd be able to top it this year. Turns out she can. Throwing a little glitter into the mix, alongside her red carpet regulars (big hair, big lashes and big blush) was a smart move. It's another key trend for the season ahead so load up your lips à la Moschino Cheap & Chic or wear it on your eyes with diamond-tipped nails just like Adele.

Looking gorgeously glamorous in an off-the-shoulder red gown, Lana Del Rey wowed us at the Brits with her beautiful blow-dry, racy red talons and on-trend eye makeup. Taking lead from the runways, where statement liner is a key look this season, the "Video Games" songstress teamed a graphic black line with under-eye liner that extended out towards the temple, created a sort of criss-cross effect when her lashes were added. London Fashion Week has kicked off and Felder Felder - designed by sisters Dani and Annette Felder - has created an entire collection based on the '90s era when Kate Moss was dating Johnny Depp. With added influences like the Mayan calendar and their love of the blonde colour palette, the look was glamorous yet grungy cool. We saw both gold and burgundy eyes and nails at Badgley Mischka this Fashion Week, and now another designer has successfully pulled off a nails-and-eyes matchup. At Milly's Fall 2012 show, models walked the runway with smoldering blue-toned eye makeup paired with deep navy polish. It was a colourfully cosmopolitan creation that's just begging to be tried.
